Mix 009: Woz

 Hailing from Bristol, Ashley 'Woz' Westlake first appeared last year with two EPs on Black Butter. After hearing his remix of RackNRuin's 'Territory', the imprint immediately signed the 'Seen' EP, his debut release. Since then,Woz has remixed prolifically, producing rowdy bass-driven takes on labelmates Rudimental and Man Like Me, as well as a brilliant edit of Fazer's “Killer”, championed by 1Xtra's Mistajam. Woz's tracks deftly bridge the gap between innovation and dancefloor appeal, with explosive tribal percussion fast becoming a trademark.
